Due to new U.S. customs rules, we’ve had to introduce a $100 minimum order for American customers. Small parcels can no longer slip through duty-free, shipping has become more complex and costly, and we’re now searching for U.S. partners to help bring our handmade goods closer to you.

💔 We’re truly heartbroken to share this — but here’s the deal:

The U.S. has recently ended the long-standing de minimis rule.

👉 That little rule used to let small parcels (under $800) slip through without duties or complicated customs.

👉 Now every single package — no matter how small — is treated like a full import: taxes, duties, customs forms, and fees.

📦 Because of that:

Postal services in Europe have stopped accepting small business parcels to the U.S.
Big couriers still deliver, but add extra paperwork fees and surcharges.
A $30 order can suddenly feel like a $60 hassle once customs gets involved.

✋ Why This Affects You

At Squared.one, every product is handmade here in the EU (Prague, specifically). That means these new rules hit us (and you) directly. To stay afloat, we sadly have to set a minimum order value of $100 for all U.S. shipments.

We didn’t want this. Honestly, we’re gutted. But it’s the only way we can keep sending our handmade goods across the ocean without drowning in costs.
